Kriss was my taxi driver in Siem Reap and helped me to plan my 3-day trip. Kriss was very flexible and adjusted my itinerary according to me needs. Kriss recommended a hotel, helped me to buy tickets to museums, arranged a licensed tour guide for temple visit, suggested places to eat, always had a cold drink ready for me, even had 4 different umbrellas to choose from when he realized the sun was a bit too much for me.........took me to visit a local artisan school which is a must see place. We had such a great time in Cambodia and touring the temples with Kriss and Tida (our very informative guide) was the high point. Kriss picked us up at the airport at the regrettable hour of 2300 and it was such a relief for two women to have an a arranged ride to our hotel after traveling 30 hours. Kriss' rates were very reasonable but his responsible, careful driving were priceless. Do hire him for a day or a week, you won't be disappointed. Traveling to Cambodia for us was somewhat intimidating, but at the same time exciting. We planned for two days in Siem Reap (Angkor Wat temples) and two days for the capital, Phnom Penh. I consider myself internet savvy, and so did some research on Google, trip advisor and other sites. I came across Kriss on that research, and contacted him immediately. I got a response back within a few hours with itinerary choices, suggestions and more. I signed up with him soon after, and he provided a bit more guidance as the trip got closer. We were vegetarians, and he went out of his way to find good food. He always provided cold water for those hot Cambodian days, and the air con in his car was a saviour! All in all if you want an expert driver, with good stories, a sense of humor and a caring touch then Kriss is your guy! He is responsive and works your schedule. Oh! One more thing! He helped us negotiate for great shopping too! We?re coming back to Cambodia and Kriss promises to be there when we do. - S. Kriss is one of the great drivers at Siam reap. We find him to be punctual, efficient in taking us to different tourist spots and accommodating when we want to try different / unplanned routes. Kriss also struck me as very sincere and has empathy by warning us from tour people who ask for tips and to stay away from them. He also lends to me his iPhone so I can check my email and not pay for additional Internet service. He takes us to places where there are good Khmer food and has free bottled water for us for the whole trip. This has helped us save too considering we had a budget.
